IRGC units complete preliminary stage of missile war games

TEHRAN,July 3(MNA) – The preliminary stage of the three-day missile war games of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps, entitled the Great Prophet 7, was completed on Monday, according to the official website of the IRGC. During the preliminary stage of the exercises, missile systems and launchers were deployed and IRGC units were stationed at designated missile sites across the country and made preparations for the main stage of the war games. Brigadier General Amir Ali Hajizadeh, the commander of the Aerospace Force of the IRGC, also inspected missile sites and units. According to the report, domestically manufactured missiles, including Shahab 1 to 3, Fateh, Tondar, Zelzal, and Qiam missiles will be fired at designated targets during the war games. During a press conference on Sunday, Hajizadeh said that missiles will be fired at bases modeled on airbases of the extra-regional powers, which have been constructed in the heart of the Semnan desert in north central Iran in order to allow experts to assess the precision and efficiency of warheads and missile systems. He also said that the Persian Gulf anti-ship missile, which has been produced by the Defense Ministry, will also be test-fired during the exercises.
