Dubai gallery hangs works by Iranian artists

TEHRAN,July 9 (MNA) -- Works by the Iranian sculptor Taha Behbahani and a collection of paintings by his daughter Tara are currently on display in a joint exhibit at the Arsh Art Gallery of Dubai. The exhibition, which opened on June 29, is their first joint expo. Taha Behbahani, painter, sculptor, set designer, television and theater director is famous for his sculptures of mystic birds. Tara is known for her abstract paintings, which critics call a combination of colors, poetry and light. Works by the Iranian artists Behnaz Sarhangi, Parvin Soheili, Saba Oruji and Mona Oruji have also been put on show on the sidelines of the exhibition. No closing date has been mentioned on the gallery website.
