All sides in Syria should end violence, Annan says

TEHRAN, July 10 (MNA) - Kofi Annan, the UN-Arab League joint special envoy on Syria, says the Syrian crisis should be resolved peacefully. “I am seeking a peaceful way for the Syria crisis,” Annan told reporters in a join press conference with Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi in Tehran on Tuesday. Annan, the former UN secretary general, said the UN has made great efforts to end conflict in Syria and “all groups involved in the conflict should end violence.”
