Iran’s Envoy Warns About Further Complication Of Syrian Crisis

Damascus, July 12, IRNA – Iran's Ambassador to Syria Mohammad-Reza Ra’ouf-Sheibani here Wednesday emphasized Syrian crisis solution is merely political, warning any move against that direction would further complicate the situation. “The Iranian envoy made the comment in a meeting with Syria’s National Reconciliation Minister Ali Heydar, further emphasizing, “The righteous demands of the Syrian nation must be respected and materialized, but any move aimed at militarizing the matter and foreign intervention would lead to transferring the crisis beyond the Syrian borders.” The Iranian ambassador in the meeting which took place at the Syrian Prime Minister’s Office meanwhile announced Tehran’s readiness for participation in proceeding with the negotiations and supporting he efforts made by the Syrian National Reconciliation Ministry. Minister Ali Heydar, too, in the meeting with the Iranian envoy elaborated on the strategies and tactics adopted by the Ministry of National Reconciliation aimed at exit from the ongoing crisis in Syria, emphasizing that the entire friend and supporter countries of the Syrian nation should cooperate and have reciprocal consultations for solving this crisis.” He referred to the constructive and influential role of the Islamic Republic of Iran, reiterating that his affiliated ministry favors reconciliation among the entire social classes of the Syrian nation, and is after national reconciliation among the entire Syrian citizens. The Syrian minister of national reconciliation, whose ministry has recently been added to the Syria ministries, opposed foreign intervention, reiterating, “This ministry has considered solving the ongoing problems of the country relying on internal participation as the basis of its activities.” /end
