President of Turkish Standards Institution visits Azerbaijan State Economic University

Baku, July 13 (AzerTAc). President of the Turkish Standards Institution (TSI) Hulusi Shenturk visited the Azerbaijan State Economic University (ASEU) here. During the meeting with ASEU rector, Chairman of the Milli Majlis Committee on Science and Education, professor Shamsaddin Hajiyev spoke about successful reforms in Azerbaijan, stressed that government pays great attention to the development of all spheres in socio-political life of the country, including education. On the close ties with universities of Turkey, Hajiyev informed that the university received the international certificate “Quality management system” in accordance with agreement signed between ASEU and TSI within six months project. Educational courses on Quality management system ISO 9001:2008 were held for ASEU`s 19 employees within the project. Hulusi Shenturk spoke about development of relations between the two friendly countries stressing importance of further widening of economic cooperation. H.Shenturk handed over the international certificate of the International Organization for Standardization-Quality Management System ISO 9001:2008 to Hajiyev.
