Dpty FM: Pressure Approach In Nuclear Talks Great Strategic Mistake

Podgorica, July 17, IRNA – Special envoy of Iran's President and deputy foreign minister in EU and American countries affairs said here Monday in a meeting with vice speaker of Montenegro Parliament resorting to pressure approach in nuclear talks is a great strategic mistake.
Deputy Foreign Minister Ali-Asghar Khaji in the meeting in the presence of the head of Montenegro Parliament’s Foreign Policy Commission, referring to the fact Iran has been among the first countries that established political ties with the Montenegro, emphasized need for strengthening comprehensive bilateral ties, particularly parliamentary relations.
Focusing on Iran’s peaceful nuclear activities, he also noted, “As an active and committed member of the nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT), Iran has had a very serious and clear approach in the course of the nuclear negotiations, believing that resorting to pressure approach in nuclear negotiations not only is to no avail, but also would lead to disturbance in the process of solving and finalizing the issue.”
Deputy Parliament Speaker of Montenegro Fafat Rastuder, too, in the meeting reiterated that the status of the Islamic Republic of Iran is quite significant in the region and in the world, announcing his country’s determination for expansion of friendly cooperation between the two countries.
Referring to the role of the parliaments in expansion of relations, he announced Montenegro parliament's readiness for contributing to the strengthening of bilateral relations with Iran./end
