Iran's Industries Minister Arrives In Tunis

Tunis, July 18, IRNA – Minister of Industries, Mines and Trade Mehdi Ghazanfari arrived in Tunis heading a high ranking delegation to attend the 11th joint cooperation commission. Tunisian Minister of Commerce Bashir Zaafouri and a number of Tunisian officials as well as Iran Ambassador to Tunisia Peyman Jebbeli welcomed Iranian delegation at the Tunis International Airport on Tuesday. The Iranian minister, during his 3-day visit to Tunisia, is to attend the 11th joint cooperation commission meeting. He will also confer with Tunisian premier, minister of Commerce and Handicrafts, governor of Central Bank, minister of Investment and International Cooperation, minister of Foreign Affairs and minister of Industry and Technology. The two sides are to sign a Memorandum of Understanding and several documents in the fields of industry, trade, science, culture and media at the end of commission meeting on Thursday. Deputy Education Minister in International Affairs Ali Asghar Yazdani and Deputy Head of Organization of Culture and Communication Karim Najafi Barzegar are accompanying the minister. Two Iranian delegations from public and private sectors had already arrived in Tunis on Sunday. The 10th joint cooperation commission meeting was held in Tehran on March 2008./end
