CABINET MEETING IN BRIEF

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ On Wednesday, the cabinet approved a composition and rules of the Council of Metrology. This Council will be responsible for supporting the socio-economic, scientific, technical and technological sectors and for ensuring the unity of the metrology. - The cabinet decided to pay off 8.7 million US dollar to the London Stock Exchange (LSE) in accordance with a strategy and cooperation treaty between the LSE and the Mongolian Stock Exchange. The money will be allotted from a commercial bank. - The cabinet discussed an issue of ratifying an intergovernmental agreement between Mongolia and the Republic of Korea on facilitating the visa terms, and decided to consult this matter with a related Standing committee of parliament. - A general plan of Borshoo border checkpoint development (Uvs aimag) was backed in principle. It will be approved by a governmental resolution. - The cabinet decided to allot a capital from the governmental reserved fund for a first meeting of the "Economic statistics based on mineral resources" Ulaanbaatar City Group which will run on August 19-22 of 2012. - During a first half of this year, the Premier and cabinet members received 1,180 requests, proposals and complaints from citizens.
