Dialogue is the only solution to Syrian crisis: Iranian FM

TEHRAN,July 18(MNA) – During a meeting in Tehran on Tuesday night, Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi and Barham Saleh, the prime minister of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan region in Iraq, held talks on various issues, including the latest developments in Syria. Salehi said that the only solution to the Syrian crisis is dialogue between all parties involved in the issue. He also said that the developments in the country are important to regional countries, particularly Iran and Iraq. In addition, Salehi commented on ties between Iran and Iraq’s Kurdistan region and said that Tehran is keen to consolidate bilateral relations in all spheres. During the meeting, Saleh conveyed the greetings of Iraqi President Jalal Talibani to the Iranian nation and government and said that Kurdish leaders are determined to cement ties with the Islamic Republic in all areas. He also said that during his trip to Tehran, he will hold a number of meetings with Iranian officials to explore ways to enhance ties.
