Basic commodities to be sold at 5 to 25 percent discount during Ramadan

TEHRAN, July 19(MNA) -- The director of the Industry, Mines, and Trade Organization of Tehran Province has announced that basic goods will be sold at a 5 to 25 percent discount at chain stores during the holy month of Ramadan. The discount prices are already in effect at a number of chain stores, Yadollah Sadeqi told the Mehr News Agency on Tuesday. The commodities that will be sold at a discount are red meat, chicken, rice, oil, and sugar. Ramadan begins on July 21 this year, depending on the sighting of the new moon.
