Killing of Myanmar Muslims an act of confrontation with Islam: cleric

TEHRAN,July 28(MNA) – The leader of this week’s Friday prayers in Tehran said that the killing of Muslims in Myanmar is an act of confrontation with Islam and the Islamic Awakening occurring in the region. “In the face of this (Islamic) Awakening, oppressed Muslims are being killed. The enemy is actually moving toward confrontation with Islam, the Islamic Awakening, and the Islamic Republic of Iran,” Ayatollah Mohammad Emami Kashani told worshippers at Friday prayers at the campus of the University of Tehran.
