Italian troupe to perform at Tehran theater complex

TEHRAN,July 28(MNA)--The Italian troupe Muta Imago is scheduled to perform two plays at Tehran’s Iranshahr Theater Complex in early September. The group will reprise “Lev” and “(a+b)3”, both of which were staged at the 31st Fajr International Theater Festival in Tehran in February 2012. “Lev” narrates the life of a Russian veteran during World War II. He loses his memory, but he is obliged to maintain his contacts with people. The other play “(a+b)3” narrates the life of two lovers who plan to go out at night. They prepare themselves and move out frantically, until they stop in front of a mirror that reflects their names on their dim shadows. Muta Imago was founded by playwright Riccardo Fazi, director Claudia Sorace and scenographer Massimo Troncanetti in 2004. The troupe takes a positive approach to theatrical research by use of technology and a highly corporeal style of recitation.
