Saatchi Gallery to display Iranian artwork in October

TEHRAN,July 28(MNA) -- An installation work created by the Iranian artist Shirin Sabahi is scheduled to go on display during an exhibition at the Saatchi Gallery in London from October 9 to 14. The show is a part of her reward as the winner of the Magic of Persia Contemporary Art Prize (MOP CAP) in 2011. The winner of MOP CAP, a global biennale organized by the UK-based charity foundation Magic of Persia, is awarded a solo exhibition during the following year at a leading art institution such as the Saatchi Gallery. Sabahi’s installation work is a continuous slide projection installation with sound and color, the Magic of Persia announced on its website. “My work addresses the materiality of time by exploring representations of the past in the present moment fabricated in circulating photographic and filmic images,” she described her installation.
