Iran Spokesman Expresses Sorrow On Conflict In Tajikistan

Tehran, July 29, IRNA – Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ramin Mihman-parast expressed sorrow on recent conflict in Badakhshan province of Tajikistan which caused damage and casulties to a number of citizens. According to the report of Foreign Ministry Media Department on Sunday, Mihman-parast said Iran hopes that recent incident in Badakhshan province will end promptly with the least damage and casualties. He expressed hope that tranquility and security would come back to the society. Last week, Security chief of the province was killed by unknown armed persons. After the assassination, state forces clashed with armed assailants in which a number of people in both sides were killed or wounded./end
