Iranian president congratulates new Indian president

TEHRAN,July 31(MNA) – Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad sent a message to Pranab Mukherjee on Sunday congratulating him on his election as Indian president. In his message, Ahmadinejad expressed hope that relations between Iran and India would further increase during Mukherjee’s term in office. He also wrote that the regional situation requires that Tehran and New Delhi hold more consultations and strengthen ties.
