‘Syria’s friends should encourage dialogue between govt., opposition’

TEHRAN,Aug.1(MNA) – In a telephone conversation on Monday, Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi and his Swedish counterpart Carl Bildt held talks on various issues including the latest developments in Syria. Salehi said that the countries that claim they are friends of Syria should pave the way for a dialogue between the Syrian government and the opposition groups. During the conversation, Bildt expressed concern over the current situation in Syria and said that all countries should make effort to ameliorate the situation.
