EUROPEAN PARLIAMENTARIANS HOLD PRESS-CONFERENCE ON ELECTION MONITORING RESULTS
Baku, 16 0ctober, (AzerTAj)An international observation group of 41 parliamentarians from Euope`s 11 countries held Thursday a press-conference on results of a monitoring of the presidential election in Azerbaijan.
Head of the group Dieste Alain said the election was conducted in a free and fair
manner, and that no serious violations had been recorded during the monitoring.
He stressed the vote count process they witnessed was open and transparent, as well.
The parliamentarians also praised the fact that Azerbaijan honors its commitments
and obligations towards international organizations including the OSCE and the
Council of Europe.
