BAKU-TBILISI-KARS RAILROAD CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES PROCEEDING AS SCHEDULED
Baku, 16 0ctober, (AzerTAj)“Construction activities on the Georgian and Turkish sections of the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railroad are proceeding as scheduled,” said Gurban Nazirov, Chief Engineer of the Azerbaijan State Railroad.
Nazirov said that in Turkey, construction works have begun on the Kars - Georgian
border section, while in Georgia, ground ramming operations are in progress on the
29.5 km Kartsakhi - Turkish border section of the route.
According to him, cleanup activities on the Marabda-Akhalkalaki section in Georgia
are also underway.
Nazirov announced that the Coordination Council has approved a road rehabilitation
project in this area.
