Iran Envoy Underlines Need To Stop Massacre Of Myanmar Muslims

Beijing, Aug 6, IRNA – Iran's Ambassador to Seoul Ahmad Ma'soomifar, in separate messages on Monday, called on Christian and Buddhist leaders of South Korea to make efforts to stop massacre of Muslims in Myanmar.
In his message to Kyung-sik Lee, head of South Korean Buddhist priests, the Iranian envoy condemned the savage crimes committed against the religious minorities in Myanmar.
Stressing that the Buddhism is free from any kind of aggression and savage acts against human beings, Ma'soomifar called on the Buddhist society to use all its capacities to stop Muslims massacre.
In another message to the leader of Christians in South Korea, the Iranian ambassador called for establishment of a peaceful atmosphere for followers of all religions./end
