Iran’s principled policy is to respect Syrians’ rights: Ahmadinejad

TEHRAN,Aug.10(MNA) – Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad held talks on Wednesday with Pakistani president’s special envoy Syeda Sughra Imam on various issues, including bilateral ties and the latest developments in Syria. Ahmadinejad emphasized the need to resolve the Syrian crisis through dialogue without foreign intervention and said that Iran’s principled policy is to respect Syrians’ rights. During the meeting, Imam said that Pakistan insists on a political solution to the Syrian issue. He added Islamabad has always insisted that Syria’s territorial integrity, sovereignty, and independence must be respected.
