Military Cmdr Calls For Trial Of British Officer

Tehran, Aug 11, IRNA – The Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of Iran's Armed Forces called for trial of British officer who was carrying 50 explosive vests in Kabul. Major General Hassan Firouzabadi said on Friday that the arrested British officer in Kabul airport should be tried in an international court. He made the remarks in a gathering of personnel of armed forces in Tehran, adding that these explosive vests which were produced by the West and the Zionists are more dangerous than mass-destruction weapons. He said the United Nations should prohibit using these vests. Member of Supreme National Security Council added that the British are creating disunity among Muslims and followers of other religions and by disseminating lies are pursuing their own interests and now the whole world should know that explosive vests are produced only by the Zionists and the British. The general added that the two countries are violating human rights and international law and must be accountable for blind terror by explosive vests in Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan and Iran. Armed Forces Chief of Staff said that the West, after using nuclear, chemical and microbiological weapons, now has given these vests to takfiri groups and asked them to explode chosen venues. He added that these vests are not used in war, but in public places to shed blood of innocent children, women and people. Firouzabadi stressed that the US, all the western countries and the Zionists should know that such incidents might happen in their own countries and put them in trouble by their own made vests.
