Iranian doc to compete at Religion Today Film Festival in Italy

TEHRAN,Aug.12(MNA)-- The Iranian documentary “Mashti Esmaeil” will be competing in the Religion Today Film Festival in Italy in October. “The festival has sent me an email in which they announced that the documentary is selected for competition during the event,” Kiasari told . Directed by Mehdi Zamanpur Kiasari, the movie is about a old blind man named Mashti Esmaeil who works in the paddies. Mashti Esmaeil does not loose his hope despite all difficulties he faces throughout his life. “Conflicts, Religions and (non)violence” is the theme of this year’s festival, which will be held in Trento and several other Italian cities from October 12 to 24.
