Works by Iranian artists selected for Danish poster show

TEHRAN,Aug.12(MNA) -- Works by eighteen Iranian artists have been chosen for the Aarhus International Poster Show, which will open in Denmark on August 17. One hundred posters selected for the show will be exhibited at the Danish Poster Museum, which is the organizer of the show. Mohammad Afshar, Marjan Akhbari, Saeid Behdad, Mona Gudarzi, Hamed Hakimi and Ladan Rezaii are among the Iranian artists. Also included as part of the Aarhus Poster Show is an open international poster competition with the central theme of “To Be Human”. The museum has chosen this theme to put emphasis on poster art in an open world with constant challenges in the areas of human rights, nature and environment as well as wars, refugees and universal humanity. Uwe Loesch from Germany, Michel Bouvet from France and Kari Piippo from Finland and several other artists are on the international jury of the show. The jury members are also expected to hold an exhibition of their works at the museum opening the same day.
