M'sian DPM Breaks Fast With Islamic NGO, Mufti And Religious Scholars

PUTRAJAYA (Malaysia), Aug 14 (Bernama) -- Representatives from Islamic Non Governmental Organisations (NGO), Mufti and religious scholars were among 1,000 people who attended a breaking-of-fast ceremony with deputy prime minister Muhyiddin Yassin at his official residence, Sri Satria, here Monday. Also present were his wife Noorainee Abdul Rahman, former prime minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad (left) and the Mufti of Perak state Dr Harussani Zakaria. Muhyiddin (right) later gave out Eid ul-Fitr contributions to 50 orphans from Rumah Amal Peribadi Mulia Kajang and 50 Palestinians living in Malaysia. Mufti is an expert on Islamic religious law.
