DSI to question military officials on 91 deaths during 2010 political unrest
BANGKOK, Agust 20 (TNA) - The Department of Special Investigation (DSI) will summon military officials on August 22 for interrogation about the 91 deaths during political unrest in May 2010.
DSI deputy director-general Prawet Moolpramuk told reporters Monday that the officials would be those, who involved or witnessed the clashes between security forces and the red-shirt protestors.
Witnesses of damaged parties and eyewitnesses to the incidents would also be summoned for interrogation at a later date, he said.
Ninety-one people were killed during the 10 weeks of political unrest, including protesters, soldiers and police, passers-by, local residents, and foreign journalists. Some 2,000 others were injured during that period. (TNA)
