MKO may remain on U.S. terror list: Washington officials

TEHRAN,Aug.22(MNA) – Two U.S. officials have recently said that State Department officials are preparing for a possible decision by Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton to re-designate the Mojahedin Khalq Organization as a terrorist group, in part because of the group’s resistance to abandon its camp in Iraq. According to the New York Times, the two officials, who spoke on the condition of anonymity because the matter involves litigation, said that Clinton had not made a decision yet. But they said the group’s refusal to complete a move from Camp Ashraf to the former site of Camp Liberty, near the Baghdad airport, may doom its bid.
