NAM summit shows plots against Iran have failed: Iranian presidential aide
TEHRAN, Aug. 22 (MNA) – Tehran will host next week the XVI summit of the Non-Aligned Movement, a gathering which will bring together more than 100 countries.
The summit is extremely important as the West claims Iran has faced international isolation over its nuclear program which Tehran insists is purely for peaceful purposes.
Ebrahim Azizi, the presidential aide, said the NAM summit shows that the “global arrogance’s plots against our country have been futile”.
Azizi told the Mehr News Agency that “the satanic plots”, which had been engineered by the Zionist regime of Israel and arrogant powers, could not last long.
“At a time that Westerners have intensified sanctions against our country one of the most important and greatest conferences” will be held in Iran as a key country in the Islamic world, he noted.
