Iranian films to compete in Cambridge Film Festival

TEHRAN,Aug.22(MNA) -- Two Iranian movies are scheduled to compete in the Cambridge Film Festival, which will run from September 13 to 23, the producer said on Tuesday. “A Cube of Sugar” by Seyyed Reza Mirkarimi and “Apple and Salma” by Habibollah Bahmani are in the main competition lineup of the event, which is one of the UK’s biggest film festivals, the Art Bureau announced in a press release. In “A Cube of Sugar”, four sisters come home to help with preparations for their youngest sister’s engagement party, however not everything goes as planned. “Apple and Salma” is about a young cleric who eats an apple from a tree without getting permission from the owner of the garden.
