MP: NAM Summit, Chance For Countries To Witness Iran’s Progresses

Tehran, Aug 25, IRNA – Iranian parliamentarian Fatemeh Alia said the Non-Aligned Summit in Tehran is a chance for other countries to see progress of Iran. Talking to IRNA on Saturday, she said the arrival of officials of over 100 world countries in the Iranian capital will provide them the opportunity to witness the progress the Islamic Republic has been making. She said Iran too should use the event to introduce its political, economic and social capabilities despite all sanctions and pressures. The parliamentarian said the summit could further prove the peaceful nature of Iran’s nuclear program to the world and thus nullify the hollow claims of the US and the Zionist regime over the issue. Stressing that the output of the meeting will be of prime importance to the world nations, Alia said the NAM summit in Tehran will disclose the oppressive nature of Imperialism and undermine its cruel structures. Commenting on Iran’s proposals on need to restore the rights of nations by reviewing the present management of the world, she said Iran could be rightfully pioneer in the issue. The 16th NAM Summit meeting is slated for August 26-31. The event will be held at three experts, ministerial and summit levels./end
