Iranian radio to give wide coverage to NAM summit

TEHRAN,Aug.25(MNA) – The Voice of the Islamic Republic of Iran is determined to fully cover news related to the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) summit, which will be held in Tehran this week. The national media can help by widely disseminating the news of the summit and by emphasizing the positive points of the country, Seda-ye Ashena international radio channel director Mohsen Sharifzadeh told on Thursday. All radio channels are required to cover the news extensively, he said adding that the Seda-ye Ashena will be covering the opening and closing ceremonies in the program named “Tehran, Host of the World”. In addition, Iran Radio Channel will also broadcast a special program named “New Season” dedicated to the summit news, he said. Tehran will be playing host to the 16th NAM summit from August 26 to September 1, which is expected to bring together more than 100 countries.
