Poll: Public rating of Thai PM, cabinet improves

BANGKOK, August 26 (TNA) - Public approval of Thai Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra and her Cabinet’s performance has gone up considerably in the past six months, according to the Suan Dusit Poll. Satisfaction was high on the government’s handling of narcotics affairs, followed by the increase in state salary and labour wages. However, the government fared badly in terms of the increase in costs of living and last year’s severe flooding. From the survey, the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security earned the highest score at 6.58 points out of 10. The coalition government of Miss Yingluck has completed its first segment out of the four-year term earlier this month. (TNA)
