Iran loses to S. Korea in FIBA U-19 World Championship semis

TEHRAN,Aug.26(MNA)--Iran was defeated by South Korea in the semifinal round of the FIBA Asia U-18 Championship on Saturday. The Iranian team lost to Korean outfit 96-93 at Buyant-Ukhaa Arena in Ulan Bator, Mongolia and failed to reach the final. In another semifinal match, China beat Japan 103-80 and booked a berth in the final match. Iran will play Japan on Sunday in bronze medal match and China face South Korea in the final. The top three teams from the FIBA Asia U-18 Championship will represent FIBA Asia at the 2013 FIBA U-19 World Championship which will be played in Czech Republic from 27 June-7 July 2013.
