Islamic resistance will change regional situation: Hezbollah secretary general

TEHRAN,Aug.27(MNA) – Hezbollah Secretary General Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah said the Islamic resistance, which has strongly countered threats by the Zionist regime, will yield new equations in the region.
Nasrallah made the remarks during a meeting with Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian in Beirut on Sunday.
He appreciated the Islamic Republic’s efforts to resolve regional problems and said that Iran has supported the Syrian nation’s rights and called for political solutions to the Syrian crisis.
He went on to say that many foreign conspiracies and plots have been hatched against Syria, but they have been futile.
Elsewhere in his remarks, Nasrallah said that today, the Zionist regime is on the verge of collapse more than ever thanks to the wave of the Islamic Awakening rolling across the Middle East region.
During the meeting, Amir-Abdollahian said that foreign conspiracies against Syria, which had been devised to undermine the resistance movement, ended in failure through vigilance and empathy of the Syrian nation and government.
Iran is confident that Syrian President Bashar al-Assad and the people of the country will successfully weather the storm and follow the path of resistance, he added.
Commenting on the Lebanese people’s will and determination, Amir-Abdollahian said, “The triangle of resistance, the Lebanese people, and army plays a key role in the victory and consolidation of the country’s position in the region.”
