Iran clinches bronze in FIBA Asia U-18 Championship

TEHRAN,Aug.27(MNA)--Iran defeated Japan 87-83 and clinched the bronze medal of the FIBA Asia U-18 Championship on Sunday. Sajjad Mashayekhi came up with a triple-double of 26 points, 12 assists and 11 boards to pace Iran. Masahiro Narita answered with 25 points for Japan. Yuta Watanabe had 23 points and 8 rebounds in the loss. China, South Korea and Iran as top three teams of the competitions will represent FIBA Asia at the 2013 FIBA U-19 World Championship which will be played in Czech Republic from 27 June-7 July 2013.
