Poll: Foreign investors want to invest in Thailand
BANGKOK, August 30 (TNA) - The Board of Investment of Thailand (BOI) says, citing results of a latest survey, that Thailand has remained a favourite investment haven for international investors, thanks to official incentives and expanding infrastructure nationwide.
BOI Secretary-General Atchaka Sibunruang Brimble on Thursday told reporters of the results of her agency's updated survey, named the analytical study of foreign investors' confidence in investing in Thailand, that the majority of the respondents, or 65 per cent, said they wanted to continue investing in Thailand due to favorable official incentives, including tax exemption.
Atchaka revealed that 31 per cent of the respondents even said they planned to expand their businesses in the Thai economy due to adequate infrastructure and skilled labour forces.
The BOI chief acknowledged when comparing benefits of Thailand, through her agency, with other nine countries, Thailand has topped the others but carries a disadvantage in wages. (TNA)
