Foreign lineup for experimental films section of Tehran fest announced

TEHRAN,Sept.1(MNA) – Twenty foreign films will be competing in the experimental film section of the 29th Tehran International Short Film Festival, organizers announced in a press release on Friday. The movies were selected from 3169 submissions by filmmakers from 107 countries. The lineup includes “The Sonification of Morecambe Bay” by Neil Boynton and “Sync” by Max Hattler from UK, “Extreme Golf in Festival” by David August from the U.S., “Timeline” by Martin Jehle from Australia and “Arthur Flèche” by Samuel Hercule from France. In addition, “Curiosity Kills” by Sander Maran from Estonia, “Water” by Rozalya Dimitrova from Bulgaria, “Horizon” by Paul Negoescu from Romania and several other films will be screened in this category. Iranian films for this section will be announced in the near future. Most of the submissions are from Germany, UK, Turkey, France, Spain, Romania, Brazil, Canada, Australia, Japan, Norway and the U.S. The 29th edition of the Tehran International Short Film Festival will be held from October 1 to 7.
