Thailand's Pheu Thai Party to publicise government's works

BANGKOK, September 2 (TNA) - Pheu Thai Party Spokesman Prompong Nopparit says his party will compile a portfolio report of each government ministry by mid-September before an official announcement is made to the public. Prompong said on Sunday his party would meet this week to discuss about the coalition government’s performance during its first year in office. Meanwhile, spokesman of the opposition Democrat Party Chawanon Intarakomalyasut had accused Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra of showing indifference over last Friday’s unrest in southern Thailand, where up to a hundred cases of violence occurred on the same day. Chawanon went on to say that the prime minister chose to preside over the government’s water exhibition while the country was at a crisis, saying therefore she must reconsider if it was still fit for her to remain in position.
