Iran’s resistance filmfest announces intl. jury for documentary section

TEHRAN,Sept.3(MNA) -- The international jury for the documentary category of the 2nd Resistance, Revolution and Sacred Defense International Film Festival was announced on Sunday. The jury includes Amr Samir Atef from Egypt, Fernando Lucena from Spain, and Ali Daher and Mohammad Dabough from Lebanon. In addition, Anis Lassoued from Tunisia, Yahya Barakat from Palestine and Indu Srikant from India are on the panel. The festival also invited 20 foreign filmmakers including Asako Otsuki Kageyama from Japan, Aida Schlaepfer from Switzerland and Samira Saidi from Algeria. The festival will be held simultaneously in Tehran and seven foreign cities from September 24 to 28. Helsinki, Istanbul, Beirut, Kabul, Dushanbe, Pyongyang, and Damascus will also screen the festival’s entries. This year’s festival are scheduled to focus on “Resistance and Islamic Awakening”, “Terrorism and International Zionism”, “Struggle against the Global Arrogance” and several other subjects.
