Khuzestan Oxin Steel output hits record high

TEHRAN,Sept.5(MNA)- Khuzestan Oxin Steel Company’s output has amounted to 313,984 tons since the beginning of the current Iranian year (March 20), which is tantamount to last year’s total output. The figure is equal to half of the current year’s planned output of 600,000 tons. Iran produced over 6.25 million tons of crude steel during the first five months of this Iranian year, which began on March 20, showing an 8.8 percent growth year on year. Some 7.2 million tons of steel products were also manufactured in the five-month period, almost equal to the previous year’s total output.
