Baghdad demands evidence from U.S. over claim Iran sends weapons to Syria via Iraq

TEHRAN,Sept.6(MNA) – Iraq says it is waiting for the U.S. to provide evidence that its airspace is being used by Iran to ship weapons to Syria, AP reported on Wednesday. According to the report, Iraqi spokesman Ali al-Moussawi has said that the U.S. has promised to provide proof that the Iranian flights are shuttling arms. The New York Times, quoting U.S. officials, reported on Tuesday that Iran had been shipping military equipment to Syria over Iraqi airspace.
