Iranian cultural organizations condemn U.S. anti-Islam film
TEHRAN,Sept.15(MNA) – Iranian cultural organizations have strongly condemned a U.S. film, which is insulting to the Prophet Muhammad (S).
The Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance, Iran Cinema Organization and Farabi Cinematic Foundation issued statements of condemnation on the film on Thursday.
They said called the decision to make the film a sacrilegious act, which has been initiated by the White House and the Zionist regime.
“For the American criminal government, freedom of speech has become a tool to insult the Prophet (S) and to hurt the pure feelings of the Muslim nation across the world,” reads part of the statement issued by Culture Minister Mohammad Hosseini.
However, the committed world cinematic figures will attempt to introduce the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (S) to the world in a much better way than before, he added.
Iran Cinema Organization has also expressed regret that the medium of cinema has been misused for anti-Islamic goals, and fully supports the productions that aim to reveal the evil nature of the producers of the film.
The Farabi Cinematic Foundation, which is affiliated with the Culture Ministry and Iran Cinema Organization, has also issued a statement of condemnation.
“No doubt such insults indicate the fear and flaw of the producers, and it will surely receive an international outcry from artists,” Farabi wrote on its website.
The film made by a California-based filmmaker has sparked violent protests in Libya, Egypt and Yemen.
