“Siavosh” appears on Iranian computer game market
TEHRAN,Sept.15(MNA) – The Iranian game studio Sourena has recently released a computer game on Siavosh, one of the heroes in Ferdowsi’s Shahnameh.
Entitled “Siavosh”, the action role-playing game benefits from various puzzles in its different stages and provides an opportunity for gamers to experience the ancient atmosphere of Iran and Turan.
The game is based on the story of the Shahnameh. However, some parts of the game have been developed based on Bundahishn, collections of Zoroastrian cosmogony and cosmology, and Avesta.
Siavosh is a major figure in Ferdowsi’s epic Shahnameh. The game narrates the killing of innocent Persian prince Siavosh, a major figure in Ferdowsi’s epic “Shahnameh”, by the order of the Turanian king Afrasiab and the revenge taken by his son Keikhosro.
Iran has previously released “The Age of Heroes” (2008) and “The Age of Heroes” (2010) based on stories from the Shahnameh.
“The Age of Heroes” was about Atar, who is the son of Pishdad, Sistan’s wise and honorable commander. Zabol, the capital of Sistan, has been captured by demons and Atar is invited by other Iranian heroes to fight against the demons.
