The 6th East Asia Forum held

(KPL) The 6th East Asia Forum was held on 16
October in Luang Prabang province, under the chairmanship of Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr Bounkeut Sangsomsak.
In the event was attended by the representatives from government and private sectors of the 10 ASEAN member countries, ASEAN dialogue partners (China, the Republic of Korea and Japan) and ASEAN Secretariat.
The participants discussed bilateral cooperation between the ten-member group and their dialogue partners on energy security, food security and the narrowing of the development gap between the old and new member countries of ASEAN for the prosperity in the region as well as the international integration of the association.
ASEAN or the Association of Southeast Asian Nations groups together Cambodia, Brunei, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.
