Iran organizing 10th Imam Reza (AS) Intl. Festival

TEHRAN,Sept.17(MNA) -- Iran is currently completing the final preparations for the 10th edition of the Imam Reza (AS) International Festival, which will begin on the birth anniversary of his sister Hazrat Masumeh (SA) on September 18. The opening ceremony of the festival will be in Mashhad, which is home to his shrine. Qom, Shiraz, Eqlid, Neyshabur and several other cities will also host the festival until September 28, which marks the birth anniversary of Imam Reza (AS), the eighth Shia imam. Poem recitation programs, art exhibitions and theatrical performances with the theme of Imam Reza (AS) will be held during the festival. A group of artists and cultural figures from several countries have been invited to the event.
