Armed forces should enhance capabilities to deter aggression:Supreme Leader

TEHRAN,Sept.19(MNA) – Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei said that Iranian armed forces should enhance their capabilities in order to deter any act of aggression against the country. The Leader made the remarks during a meeting with a number of commanders of the Iranian Armed Forces and the organizers of an exhibition of the county’s defense achievements on Tuesday in Noshahr, Mazandaran Province. “The armed forces should develop such capabilities that no one would be able to carry out an act of aggression against the stronghold of the country and the dear people of Iran,” he stated. Ayatollah Khamenei also advised the commanders to keep up with the latest scientific advances, continue efforts to design and manufacture equipment and spare parts, expand cooperation with scientific and academic centers, and pay attention to spiritual values. The Leader also visited the exhibition of the achievements of the Iranian Armed Forces being held in Noshahr.
