Mehdi Hashemi returns to Iran, attends court

TEHRAN, Sept. 24 (MNA) – Mehdi Hashemi, the son of Expediency Council Chairman Ayatollah Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani, who arrived in Tehran late on Sunday, attended the court on Monday to hear charges against him. He faces charges of inciting unrest after the 2009 presidential election. He returned home after spending three years in Britain.
