Iran unveils two armored vehicles

TEHRAN,Sept.25 -- Iran unveiled the domestically manufactured Hoveyzeh ultralight armored vehicle and the Talaeiyeh armored personnel carrier during a ceremony held in Tehran on Monday. Iranian Defense Minister Ahmad Vahidi attended the ceremony and briefed reporters on the features of the two vehicles, which can be used in various types of missions carried out by the country’s armed forces. According to Vahidi, the Hoveyzeh armored vehicle can be easily used and maintained, can be equipped with various types of weapons, can be easily camouflaged, can carry out missions at night, can be easily transferred, and can be carried by an airplane or a helicopter. It can also be used at checkpoints for dealing with criminals and smugglers, Vahidi explained. About the Talaeiyeh armored personnel carrier, the Iranian defense minister stated that the vehicle can be easily operated, moves fast, and can be equipped with various pieces of military hardware.
