Thai Cabinet extends cost of living relief measures for six months

BANGKOK, October 2 (TNA) - The Thai Cabinet has decided to extend measures to help lower the cost of living for the people for another six months. Spokesperson for the Prime Minister's Office Sananee Nakpong said the Cabinet has decided during its meeting Tuesday, to extend its measures that have helped Thais to gain a lower cost of living, including, free bus and sky train fares, from the originally planned deadline of September 30 to March 31, 2013. The spokesperson further noted the Cabinet has decided to extend diesel tax exemption for consumers for another month as well, starting on October 1 through to end of the month. (TNA)
