2 anthologies of William Carlos Williams’ poetry ready for publication in Persian

TEHRAN,Oct.7(MNA) -- Two anthologies of William Carlos Williams’ poems, which have been collected and translated by Hadi Mohit, are ready for publication in Persian. Mohit selected the titles of two poems “The Red Wheelbarrow” and “The Blue Hills” to name the anthologies that will be released by Ghatreh Publications in the near future. “The Blue Hills” contains Williams’ short poems and “The Red Wheelbarrow” includes pieces from different collections composed by the renowned American poet. Williams (1883–1963) is strongly associated with the American modernism movement in literature and saw his poetic project as a distinctly American one. He sought to renew language through the fresh, raw idioms that grew out of America’s cultural and social heterogeneity, at the same time freeing it from what he saw as the worn-out language of British and European culture.
