Weapons seized in Bangkok

BANGKOK, October 9 (TNA) - A metropolitan police force seized a large amount of war weapons from a government-run flat on the outskirts of Bangkok Tuesday morning, but the operation yielded no arrest. Given reports on a suspicious arms hideout, the metropolitan police force raided a room at the Uea A-thorn Panya Ramintra Flat in the capital's Klong Sam Wa area and found four hand grenades, over 10,000 M16 bullets and some 100 bullet belts, all of which were seized. Owned by a high-ranking government official, the room has been rented to many people, including a single-parent family members who reportedly worked at a golf course. The family, however, moved out late last year. The police also found some electrical appliances in the room, saying that they will call the owner and tenants of the room for further interrogations.
